Understanding your result

The outputs describe the mathematical scenario you entered. Assumed rates, timing and included costs determine the result; an estimate is not an offer or eligibility decision.

Common mistakes

  • Mixing annual and monthly periods, or leaving out a cost that the model does not include.

Check your calculation

  • Compare a simple one-period or zero-change case with hand arithmetic before applying a longer scenario.

What sales revenue follows from this unit price and number of units sold?

Calculate sales revenue from unit selling price and units sold. Costs, tax, returns and profit are excluded unless reflected in the entered price.

Common uses

  • What sales revenue follows from this unit price and number of units sold
  • Check revenue using the actual inputs shown.

How it works

Multiply the included unit quantity by the stated selling price per unit. This gives revenue on that price basis, not profit, cash collected or recognized revenue under an accounting standard. Apply discounts, returns, tax and shipping consistently when choosing the inputs. Products with different prices require separate line calculations or an explicitly appropriate weighted average price.

Worked example

Enter Units sold: 100 units; Selling price per unit: 25 currency/unit. Results: Revenue: 2500 currency.
