How it works
Multiply the included unit quantity by variable cost per unit, then add fixed costs for the same period. The output is total included cost under a constant-cost model. Cost classifications and the relevant operating range matter: some costs change in steps instead of remaining fixed. Revenue, profit, taxes and omitted expenses are not inferred by this calculation.
Worked example
Enter Units sold: 100 units; Variable cost per unit: 15.5 currency/unit; Fixed costs in same period: 700 currency. Results: Total cost: 2250 currency.
