How many trays hold my planned occupied seed cells?
Calculate full-tray purchasing count and spare cells for a planned number of occupied cells.
Common uses
- How many trays hold my planned occupied seed cells
How it works
Round occupied cells divided by usable cells per tray upward, then subtract occupied cells from total capacity. All trays have the same usable cell count; damaged or reserved cells should be excluded. Measured quantities and user-selected spacing only; no crop, watering, chemical treatment or growing recommendation is provided. Biological outcomes can differ.
Worked example
Enter Cells to fill: 101 cells; Usable cells per tray: 72 cells/tray. Results: Trays needed: 2 trays; Unfilled cells: 43 cells.
